Souvenirs- The Only Thing I Buy!

I’ve been to a lot of places over the years and I’ve been to a lot of souvenir shops. I’ve bought a lot of souvenirs along the way, but I must say they take up a lot of room. From shot glasses to coffee mugs to posters to snow globes to figurines to keychains to t-shirts to hats and the lists could go on even further.
A couple years ago I told myself “enough” and from that point on I only buy one type of souvenir, magnets. But why magnets? Well magnets are cheap, for the most part flat, easy to pack in a suitcase, fairly ubiquitous (except for that one time in Kansas City, Kansas) and most of all they’re a great conversation starter all spread across my refrigerator door. Some magnet designs can be a bit dull and predictable, but I try to find the ones with a little bit of character.

So what’s the souvenir that you buy when you’re traveling? Share yours in the comments.
