Welcome to Maybe A Weekend — a travel and adventure blog built around a pretty simple idea:

You don’t have to quit your job, sell everything you own, or become a full-time travel influencer to see the world.

I’m Garrick. I have a full-time job, a limited supply of PTO, a camera, an ever-growing list of places I want to visit, and a questionable ability to look at an open weekend without wondering where I could go.

Sometimes that means flying across the ocean.

Sometimes it means boarding another cruise I definitely needed.

Sometimes it’s a road trip, a few days in a new city, a hike through the desert, a ridiculously good meal, or some completely unnecessary side quest that sounded like a good idea at the time.

Maybe A Weekend is where I share those adventures — the travel stories, photography, food, planning, occasional chaos, and everything that happens between leaving home and eventually finding my way back.

Because not every adventure requires two weeks off and an elaborate itinerary.

Sometimes you just need a destination, a camera, something good to eat, and maybe a weekend.

GO SOMEWHERE.

SEE SOMETHING.

EAT SOMETHING.

TAKE THE PHOTO.

Then come home, unpack your bag…

and start figuring out where you’re going next.
