Welcome to the reoccurring feature on Maybe A Weekend, Photo Roulette. I’ve taken a lot of photographs over the years since I bought my first digital cameras. I’ve always subscribed to the theory that it’s better to get a photo now, then regretting not getting the photo later. Every photo tells a story for me even the most random ones. So from time to time I will post a photo here that may seem pointless, but with a little background will give you a greater idea of the man behind Maybe A Weekend.

For today’s entry…

So the day was January 8th, 2020 and I was on day five of a seven day cruise in the Caribbean. This was during my second Caribbean cruise unlike my previous one to the Eastern Caribbean, this adventure was to the Western Caribbean. On this day we had a stop in Costa Maya, Mexico. I had no shore excursions planned for this stop so I just did some exploring around the port area. After partaking in some excellent al pastor tacos and an unbelievable margarita, I ventured further until I saw a photo opportunity. As my skill level has improved with photography I usually like to avoid some of the touristy photo spots, but even I can’t resist being photographed on a replica pyramid with a group of guys wearing bird costumes.
